MW Mobile Blog

For friends, family and the random search engine visitor. This blog started as an experiment in mobile blogging from my Palm TREO 600, 700, Prē, HTC Evo, Samsung 5, Pixel 3, Pixel 6 Pro. Now it serves as a simple repository of favorite activities. Expect bad golf, good fishing, great sailing, eating, drinking, adventure travel, occasional politics and anything else I find interesting along the way including, but not limited to, any of the labels listed here...

4am April 5th

this has to have been one of the all time
strangest nights onboard.

with a weather forecast for 15 to 20 out of the NW,
we get full on victory at sea conditions from sunset
through about midnight with a steady shift from
the nw to the ene!! spent most of the night with
engine off reaching along with double reefed main
while dropping off huge waves and then having the
next few wash over us. the crew has been initiated
and now clearly understands what the baja bash is
all about!!

Now to top things off at 4am the wind has died down
to 5 knots out of the nw again??? what is up with
all that?? turtle bay in about 8 hours for
some rest and to let a bigger blow slide by.

more later.
